1st Lt. Andrew C. Shields

South Carolina Army National Guard 1st Lt. Andrew C. Shields, 25, of Campobello, SC, died on December 9, 2004. 

He was killed in Mosul, Iraq, after being involved in an Apache helicopter accident during a night mission.  Shields was assigned to 1st Battalion, 151st Aviation Regiment, South Carolina National Guard, McEntire Air National Guard Station, Eastover, SC. 
Shields was a member of New Prospect Baptist Church, a graduate of Wofford College, and a member of the Civil Air Patrol and the AWT.
